Mom & Sharon in London!

August 9-17, 2002

The year 2002 was a perfect time to visit London, as it marks The Queen's Golden Jubilee, and celebrations were taking place throughout the year to honor Her Majesty. London is Europe's most exciting and cosmopolitan city, a fascinating city of contrasts steeped in tradition, yet always at the forefront of contemporary ideas and fashion. Its regal historic sites meld with its lively entertainment and shopping. We stayed at the Millennium Gloucester, a well-known Four Star Deluxe hotel with stylish sophistication in a tranquil environment. We left the city to visit Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, Windsor Castle and even spent a day in Paris! While in town, we saw the sites of London as well as two shows: The Lion King and Blood Brothers.
